T’ai-Chi with Bob Noha
Class meets Monday’s, 6:00-7:00 pm
We are proud to offer T’ai-Chi as part of our weekly, ongoing schedule. Our instructor, Bob Noha, has over forty years experience practicing Yang Style T’ai-Chi Ch’uan, the Chinese martial art which combines meditation in movement, healthful exercise and self-defense. The training includes practice of a 37 posture form which teaches relaxation, balance, and strength. Bob is able to assist student with various kinds of health issues.
T’ai-chi Ch’uan (or Tai-chi) is an ancient art form China developed to promote health of mind, body and spirit through the slow motion practiced daily once in the morning and one in the evening. Each posture has benefits to improve the health of different parts of the body. Studies have long shown that tai-chi is safe for young and old, the healthy and those less so.
According to the April 2011 issue of the UC Berkley Wellness Letter, “Research keeps accumulating about the health benefits of T’ai-shi, which is high on our list of recommened exercises.”
